Four people were killed in a shooting in the United States

Four people were killed and another was injured in a shooting in the US state of Utah. The police are sure that one person committed the attack; he was detained.

The suspect started shooting at the intersection of Main Street and 130 South in Grantsville on the evening of January 17. As CNN reported, citing police, the shooter was placed in custody. The police assured him that he was alone and there was no further danger.

One victim is in hospital. His name and the names of the victims have not been released. Police are checking to see if the victims and the attacker were known.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert expressed his condolences for the loss of life and announced that the state Department of public safety and the state crime lab are assisting local authorities.

The population of Grantsville is about 11 thousand people.
