Found a way to improve the performance of older iPhone

Chinese users have found a way to improve the performance of older Apple smartphones.

A few years ago, Apple found itself at the center of a scandal over deliberately lowering CPU frequencies. The company explained its actions by the desire to increase the battery life. The initiative was received, to put it mildly, not very warmly.

France fined the Cupertino-based company $ 25 million, and Apple stopped slowing down old smartphones sold in the country. Chinese users have found that changing the region to France in the iPhone settings will improve the performance of the device.

In the case of new models, the increase is almost imperceptible. But if you use old smartphones, then the difference is quite tangible. In particular, the CPU performance of the iPhone 7 increases by about 10%. The same scheme works on Apple tablets as well.

Recall that China did not fine the US company. Instead, Apple had to reduce the cost of replacing the battery and add additional battery options to the operating system so that users can monitor battery health.
