Former UFC champion defeated ex-world boxing champion

Brazilian mixed martial artist (MMA) Anderson Silva defeated Mexican boxer, Cesar Chavez.

Silva, known for his performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), was stronger than the former world champion in a boxing match. The 35-year-old Chavez conceded by a split decision.

Former UFC champion Silva in one of the episodes even dropped his hands, provoking his opponent to attack. Chavez has held the World Boxing Council (WBC) world championship belt in the past.

46-year-old Silva won the most victories in MMA, using the striking technique. Of the 34 wins, 23 were won by knockout.

Silva left the UFC in November 2020. In March 2021, the Brazilian announced his readiness to perform under the rules of boxing.
