Florida recorded a record number of deaths from coronavirus per day

13965 new cases of infection are also reported.

Florida authorities reported on Thursday a record daily death rate from the coronavirus and the second-largest daily increase in new infections.

On Thursday, Florida, which is at the epicenter of a new COVID-19 outbreak, announced 13,965 new cases of infection. According to the state Health Department, the total number of cases in the state has exceeded 315 775.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 in Florida increased by 156 per day, exceeding the previous daily record, recorded on July 12: 133 people died during the day. A total of 4,782 coronavirus deaths have been reported in the state.

According to state authorities, the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 has also reached a record high: currently, 8,626 people are in hospitals. Over the past 24 hours, 321 patients have been admitted to the hospital.
