Florida breaks another record for COVID-19 cases

The US state of Florida has registered 11,458 cases of coronavirus this Friday, the state health administration said on Saturday.

This is another anti-record of morbidity in the state.

In total, almost 180 thousand cases were registered in Florida for all time; more than 3,6 thousand people died.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said yesterday that he does not plan to impose new restrictions due to the outbreak of the disease. However, he has previously done so banning the sale of alcohol in bars. Yet, some districts have their restrictions. Broward County, with a population of 1.7 million, closed access to its beaches this weekend to slow the spread of the virus.
