A 41-year-old man from Zhenjiang City has been infected, according to the State Committee on Hygiene and Health of the People’s Republic of China.
At the end of April, he felt a fever, a few days later, due to a worsening of his condition, he went to the doctor and was hospitalized.
Laboratory tests showed that he contracted a type of bird flu that had not yet been transmitted to humans. How exactly the infection occurred is not clear.
H10N3 descended from birds, genome analysis showed that the virus could not effectively infect humans.

Among those with whom he was in contact, no cases of infection have been identified. Now his condition has stabilized and he is almost ready to be discharged.
H10N3 is a low pathogenic virus that is transmitted between birds. As stated in the commission, he “does not have an effective ability to infect a person.” Experts recommended avoiding contact with live birds, as well as those who died from the disease.
