Filming for the second season of “The Witcher” resumed

Earlier it was reported that the filming of the second season of the series “The Witcher” will begin on August 4, then the date was moved to August 17. But in fact, shooting began on the 12th. Fans of the series learned about this from Instagram director Steven Surzhik, who will shoot the first two episodes of the new season. He posted a post with a cryptic picture with the caption:

There are only three minutes left before we start filming the second season of The Witcher for the second time. Everyone is cautious, but we have a positive attitude. Thank you to the team for looking for new ways of communication that allow for less intimate contact on set.

The photo shows the screen of the Riedel Bolero intercom system, which has a set of different communication methods, can work like a walkie-talkie, and interact with a headset via Bluetooth.

The resumption of filming means that Netflix has managed to comply with all the rules from the safety protocols developed by the British authorities. And now, not only performers of the main roles Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, and Anya Chalotra but also the actor Christopher Heavey, who had had time to recover from the coronavirus, will return to the set in London.

Due to the shift in the filming schedule, the release of the second season of The Witcher should not be expected until the second half of 2021.
