FIFA organizes charity match to fight coronavirus

The international football Federation (FIFA) is organizing a charity match to raise funds for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, according to the official website of FIFA.

As noted, the funds raised through the match will be used to accelerate the development, production, and global fair distribution of technologies for the treatment of coronavirus, which includes therapy, vaccines, and diagnostics of the disease.

“We must show solidarity and continue to do everything possible to fight the pandemic. We took part in raising awareness of the world community through various campaigns, made a financial contribution to the solution of this problem, and now FIFA is committed to organize this fundraising event when the situation with the virus allows, even this will only happen in a few months,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The date, time, and venue of the match will be announced in due course.
