Fauci recommends avoiding handshakes

According to the expert, this will slow down the spread of infectious diseases, including coronavirus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and infectious diseases, said that Americans should permanently give up handshakes to prevent the spread of coronavirus and other diseases.
A leading infectious disease expert on President Donald trump’s working group on coronavirus told the Wall Street Journal that avoiding handshakes will help reduce transmission of the new coronavirus in the future and also reduce the incidence of flu.

Speaking about what a return to normal life will look like, Fauci said: “It will be a gradual return; you will not fly into it with a Bang. You will tell yourself what else you can do and what approaches you can still use. One of them is mandatory to hand washing. The other is that you never shake hands with anyone again.”

He also suggested that when life begins to return to normal, someone will want to wear “fabric face protection” in situations where it is impossible to avoid a distance of fewer than two meters from other people.
