Facebook is developing an app for ex-prisoners

Facebook is developing an app for people returning from prison and adapting to society.

Such information appeared in the notification of some in Istagram users. The social network offered people to register for testing a service that allows those who have been released to adapt to everyday life.

The application will be called The Re-Entry App and will help “prepare for life after prison with the support of the community.”

The application is still available in testing format, the developers want to collect feedback to improve it.

A Facebook spokeswoman told the agency that the ad was to be selected “only as part of an internal test.”

We are exploring various ways to bridge the gaps that marginalized communities face in our applications.
