Ex-Trump aide decided to run for governor of New York

The son of former New York Mayor Andrew Giuliani said he intends to compete with the current Governor Andrew Cuomo. According to him, it will be one of the epic confrontations in the history of the state.

A former aide to the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump, Andrew Giuliani, said on Tuesday that he would run for governor of New York in 2022.

“Together, we will take back New York!” he wrote on Twitter, tagging “New York for Giuliani in 2022” and attaching a link to his campaign website.

He is the son of former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who was Trump’s personal lawyer for several years and played a key role in trying to challenge the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Democrat Joe Biden won them. As noted on the website of the 35-year-old candidate, he was born and raised in the central district of New York-Manhattan – and met his wife Zhivile Rezgyte in 2014 at a game of the local baseball team “New York Yankees.”
