Caracas will be under European sanctions until November 14, 2020.
BRUSSELS -The EU Council on Monday extended sanctions against Venezuela for a year. The decision was made on Monday at a meeting of the EU Council at the level of foreign Ministers.
“The Council has extended restrictive measures against Venezuela for one year-until November 14, 2020,” the final statement said.
Restrictive measures against Venezuela include a ban on the supply of weapons and police equipment to the country, as well as a blacklist of 25 individuals who are banned from entering the EU and accessing the European banking system.
All of them are held responsible by the EU for “violations of human rights and the rule of law in Venezuela.”
