Erdogan has scheduled a meeting with Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has scheduled a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He said this on local television after returning from a trip to Azerbaijan.

He mentioned this, telling reporters that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will soon hold talks with the Russian head of state. “I will meet with Putin soon,” the Turkish leader said.

Earlier, on June 17, Erdogan said that Turkey could deploy its military bases on the territory of Azerbaijan. He did not specify a time frame for the appearance of such objects but stressed that first President Aliyev should hold consultations with Putin on this topic.
