Embiid did not finish the match with Washington due to knee pain

Philadelphia center Joel Embiid was unable to play the first round of the NBA playoffs against Washington because of knee pain, according to the Penn State club’s Twitter account.

The fourth game of the series took place on Monday in Washington and ended with a loss to Philadelphia with a score of 114:122. In the first quarter, the Cameroonian in one of the episodes under the opponent’s ring unsuccessfully landed on his back. Embiid continued the match, but due to discomfort left the floor at the end of the opening segment.

Philadelphia coach Doc Rivers said the 27-year-old will have an MRI scan on Tuesday. The specialist is not sure that Embiid will be able to take part in the fifth match of the series, which will be held on June 2. Embiid is a contender for the title of the most valuable player (MVP) of the regular season of the NBA. In the playoffs, the center is averaging 24.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
