DxOMark tested Qualcomm smartphone camera

Remember in early July Qualcomm introduced a smartphone to developers? So now the gadget has fallen into the hands of the French laboratory DxOMark.

Experts have tested the camera of the device. The smartphone was given 142 points for photo capabilities, 111 points for video, and 74 points for zoom. The overall camera score was 133 points. In comparison, this is more than the iPhone 12 Pro Max (130 points), OPPO Find X3 Pro (131 points) and Honor P40 Pro (132 points).

Among the advantages of the Qualcomm smartphone camera, experts noted fast focusing, wide dynamic range even in low light, accurate white balance and low noise level when filming outdoors. The disadvantages are low contrast in complex scenes, textures and artifacts in some photos, as well as poor detail in videos with insufficient light.

As a reminder, Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders has a triple main camera. Main sensor Sony IMX686 64 MP. It is complemented by a 12MP Sony IMX363 wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. The camera supports an optical stabilization system and can record video with a resolution of up to 8K.
