Donald Trump on NBA Kneeling: ‘It’s a Shame’

US President Donald Trump considers it shameful for NBA players to bow their knees while singing the national anthem before matches.

“I think it’s a shame. We work with the players, we work a lot so that they can speak. I personally work so that they can express their position, and then I see them all kneel during the hymn. This is unacceptable to me. When I see them on their knees, I just turn off the game. Nobody has done more for the black community than me. Only Abraham Lincoln is an exception. Criminal justice reform, opportunities, best employment rates in history.

But when I see people kneeling and disrespecting our flag and anthem, I turn off the game. Basketball ratings are known to plummet. The situation is the same in baseball. We must stand for our flag, for our anthem, for our country. Many people agree with me. If I’m wrong, I’m ready to lose the election. But I will always stand for our flag and for our country ”, – quotes Trump’s Clutch Points.
