Donald Trump arrived in the UK on a state visit

Yesterday, the President said that his trip would be “very interesting,” but not everyone in the UK agrees with the fact of the visit to this level.
US President Donald Trump arrived in the UK on a two-day visit, the program of which includes a meeting with the Royal family, a state reception and talks with the outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May.

Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II welcomed President Trump and his wife Melania, who arrived by helicopter to Buckingham Palace. At the end of the welcoming ceremony, which included a salute in honor of the guests, the Trump couple went to lunch with the Queen of Great Britain.

Leaving the White House, Trump said the trip would be “very interesting,” and that he believes the US and the UK have the opportunity to work out a “very major trade agreement” in the near future.

The visit of the US President to the UK takes place against the background of political turmoil in this country. In May, May announced her resignation after she failed to complete the country’s exit from the EU.

A process that does not have a clear way to resolve the sharp differences between the parties will be pursued by her successor.
