Disney+ films “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” by Jules Verne

10 episodes will be dedicated to the legendary “Nautilus” and Captain Nemo.

Jules Verne’s stories do not lose their relevance. They are loved by children and adults, regardless of race or gender. Therefore, their adaptations have always been successful. Yesterday Disney + announced the creation of a series about the Nautilus and Captain Nemo, according to THR.

The film tells the story of Captain Nemo and his legendary submarine. An Indian prince, deprived of his inheritance, became a prisoner of the East India Company. He wants revenge. In his Nautilus, Nemo sets sail with his motley crew. They will have many battles, but most importantly, they will discover incredible worlds hidden under water.

This isn’t the first time Disney has filmed Jules Verne. In 1954, the film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was filmed. The release date of the new picture is still unknown. But filming will begin in 2020, based on a script by James Dormer, who created Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands.
