Detained suspects in the case of the explosion in Lyon

French law enforcement agencies detained the suspect in the case of the explosion in Lyon, which occurred last Friday. This was announced by the Interior Minister of France Christophe Castaner.

Later, the authorities of Lyon reported the detention of the second suspect. One of the alleged criminals is a 24-year-old computer science student.

Earlier, the police published footage from surveillance cameras, which captured the suspect.

The explosion occurred on the evening of May 24 near the bakery in the center of Lyon. According to preliminary data, the bomb in the bag was left by a man on a bicycle two minutes before the explosion. The device was filled with nails and bolts. The explosion injured 13 people.
