Democrats presented in the US House of Representatives a resolution to impeach Trump

The resolution can be put to a vote on October 31.

WASHINGTON – Democratic members of the House of Representatives circulated on Tuesday the text of a resolution authorizing the continuation of proceedings to impeach President Donald Trump. Officially, this document is submitted to the lower house of Congress on behalf of James McGovern (Democrat from Massachusetts), who is the Chairman of the procedural Committee.

The resolution directs several House committees to continue their investigations. Their goal is to find out “whether there are sufficient grounds for the House of Representatives to exercise the constitutional authority to impeach President Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America.” The current American leader represents the Republican Party.

The resolution confirms that the investigations will continue to be conducted by six committees: intelligence, financial services, foreign affairs, oversight and reform, revenue and spending, and legal.

The resolution is expected to be put to a vote in the House of Representatives on Thursday.
