EA Motive has already promised to return some of the cut content in the Dead Space remake – for example, the corridor was removed at the first location of the original due to technical restrictions. Here he must be returned.
However, as it turned out, the developers are planning to remove something – “what worked badly.” No specific examples have yet been named, however, the project team uses the provided creative freedom of the remake, because the game is created from scratch on a new engine.
According to the art director of the remake, Mike Yazijian, who also worked on Dead Space 2, the studio is trying to make the game for a modern audience, while remaining true to the original vision of the first part.
Officially, EA calls the novelty simply Dead Space – the developers, among other things, will add elements of other projects in the universe to the remake and introduce certain innovations from the original design documents.
The remake is due out in late 2022 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
