Creators of “Snowpiercer” and “Swamp Thing” will work on the prequel to “The Witcher”

The Witcher: Blood Origin showrunner Declan de Barra announced the start of work on the series and introduced the writing team.

It included:
Kirsten van Horn – producer of the series “Krypton”, Berlin Station, “Snowpiercer” and screenwriter of selected episodes of these series;
Aaron Stewart-Ahn – screenwriter for the 2017 film “Mandy”;
Alex Minichan – screenwriter of the series “Bosch”;
Tanya Lotia – writer of “Swamp Thing” and “Carnival Row”;
Puya Gupta is a producer of a number of TV series;
Tasha Ho – screenwriter of the “Child of Light” series and documentaries;
Troy Dangerfield is an assistant producer at “Castle”.

Showrunner de Barra himself wrote the script for one of the episodes of The Witcher. The series is produced by Lauren Hissrick, showrunner of the original “The Witcher,” and the consultant is Andrzej Sapkowski, author of the book cycle.

The series tells about the era of Conjugation of the spheres, a cataclysm, as a result of which monsters entered the world. And after the monsters, the witchers appeared – monster hunters. The release date has not yet been specified. The series will consist of six episodes.
