The office of the British Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street was empty for a while. Boris Johnson was taken to the hospital for an additional examination since the symptoms of the coronavirus disease remain valid ten days after he left for quarantine.
Last Thursday, Johnson appeared on the threshold of his residence and, together with millions of Britons, applauded in gratitude to the doctors of his country for their military work. Last Friday, the head of government boasted that he was “better”, but that he would nevertheless remain in isolation for some time to wait until the temperature drops. However, on April 5, in the evening, the office on Downing Street published the news that Johnson, following the advice of doctors, was hospitalized for an additional examination and analysis.
The representative of the prime minister assured the British that the politician was sent to the hospital as a precaution since ten days later the symptoms of the coronavirus did not disappear.
Meanwhile, for ten days of illness, the head of government continued to work courageously, presiding over all meetings of his cabinet by video link. In his last video post on Friday, the prime minister sounded and looked frankly tired.
Boris Johnson admitted that although he is feeling better and that he has already served a week’s isolation, some symptoms are still present and the temperature remains. “Following the advice of my government, I must extend my isolation until all symptoms disappear”.
It is noteworthy that the British Minister of Health, who was infected at the same time as Johnson, went to work for almost a week, recovering from coronavirus in a record short time.
