Coronavirus in the United States for a week left more than a million residents without work

In one week, 1.3 million people officially declared unemployment in the US.

In America, people are being put on unpaid leave, and many businesses are closing. This situation is associated with a pandemic.

“As new COVID-19 cases continue to rise in States across the US, another 1.3 million Americans filed for unemployment last week, underscoring the grim reality that any type of economic recovery may be far off,” the Guardian newspaper reported.

Now the state authorities are trying to experiment with various plans to resume work. Some businesses are allowed to continue operations. However, everything happens under strict control.
Such measures make the situation a little easier. In June, 4.8 million Americans returned to work. This reduced unemployment from 13.3 percent to 11.1 percent.
