The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded 2,241 new cases of coronavirus infection in the world over the past 24 hours. The WHO newsletter reports this.
95,333 cases of infection have been confirmed worldwide, of which 80,565 are in China and 14,768 are abroad.
In total, 3,015 people in China (31 per day) and 267 worldwide (53 per day) died from the disease caused by a new type of coronavirus, according to the organization.
Over the past 24 hours, people infected with the coronavirus have been found in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Gibraltar, Slovenia, and Palestine. On the morning of March 6, Bhutan joined the list of countries.
Outside of China, South Korea has the highest number of infected people (6284 cases). The victims of the disease there were 42 people. 3513 infected people were identified in Iran, and 107 people died because of the disease. In Europe, the leader in the number of infected was Italy (3,858 people), where the highest number of deaths from the coronavirus was recorded outside of China (148 people, 41 of them on the last day).
In many countries, several measures are being introduced for the non-proliferation of coronavirus. In Italy, schools and universities are closed until March 15. The same decision was made in Iran. In Ukraine, schools are also going to be closed for a while. On the morning of March 6, the closure of all schools and universities for a month was announced in Palestine.
