Construction of the first line of the “Nord stream-2” gas pipeline has been completed

The operator of the “Nord stream-2” project, Nord Stream 2 AG, announced the completion of work on the first line of the gas pipeline.

Pipe lying was completed on June 4, and the connection of the offshore sections of the gas pipeline from Russia and Germany was completed on the 10th.

Commissioning works will begin on June 11.

“The offshore part of the first line of Nord Stream 2 is technically complete,” Nord Stream 2 AG said.

Work is also underway to lay the offshore part of the second line, the project operator added.
