Comet Neowise is approaching Earth. The next rendezvous is after 6800 years

Astronomers around the world are observing the comet Neowize approaching Earth. It was discovered in late March. This is one of the few comets that can be seen with the naked eye in the 21st century.

The comet will be as close to Earth on July 23. The comet is clearly visible after sunset and shortly before dawn in the middle latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, that is, in Europe, the USA and Canada.

To see it, you need to look just above the horizon towards the north, northeast.
