CNN: Biden widens lead over Trump in Georgia

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has widened the gap from incumbent President Donald Trump in the “wavering” state of Georgia to more than seven thousand votes, according to CNN.

Earlier, Biden took over the championship in Georgia, where Trump had been leading for a long time. Trump’s headquarters expressed confidence that during the recount in Georgia, incorrectly received ballots will be found and the current US president will win there.

According to the latest data, in Georgia, Biden has 49.4%, Trump has 49.3%. The Democratic candidate is ahead of the incumbent by 7,248 votes.

Georgia, with 16 electors, is one of four states that can determine the outcome of a US presidential election until a winner is announced there. Trump’s headquarters have filed a lawsuit in a Georgia court demanding state election commissions to comply with the law on counting and storing ballots received by mail.
