Clippers lost Kawhi Leonard

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will miss at least one more week with a right foot injury, Hoops Rumors reported.

Leonard missed four games in a row last week, but returned to play on Sunday, scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in 22 minutes in an NBA regular season match against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Leonard wants to play, but the team has decided to keep him safe. Los Angeles head coach Tyrone Liu believes this will be beneficial in the long term and reduce the risk of injury recurrence.

The Clippers are ranked third in the Western Conference standings. Leonard is averaging 25.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season.
