China urged the Biden administration not to make Trump’s mistakes

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a meeting with First Deputy US Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on Monday that the current US administration continues the erroneous policy towards China, which was adhered to by the government of Donald Trump.

Sherman is on a visit to Tianjin, China, on July 25-26, where she held meetings with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Xie Feng and the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

“The new US government as a whole continues the erroneous policy of the previous administration towards China, increasing deterrence and pressure on China, we strongly oppose this,” said Wang Yi, whose words are quoted in a statement on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

In his opinion, these problems arise due to the wrong perception of China by the United States.

“I want to tell the United States clearly and distinctly that the development and revival of China has a huge internal driving force and is an inevitable trend of history‚Ķ I also want to tell the United States clearly and clearly that China will continue to follow the path of peaceful development, adhere to a mutually beneficial strategy of openness, will never go down the beaten track, where “a strong country must necessarily be a usurper,” we are ready to carry out joint development and achieve joint prosperity with all countries of the world, including the United States,” he stressed.
