China insists on the introduction of retaliatory measures against the United States

It is noted that Beijing wants to achieve this because of the inconsistency of WTO rules duties imposed under the administration of Barack Obama.

China is seeking $2.4 billion in retaliation against the United States for failing to comply with world trade organization (WTO) rules on duties imposed by the United States. Free News, citing a document published by the WTO, reported this on Monday.

“In response to the continued non – compliance of the United States with the recommendations and rules of the dispute resolution authority, China is seeking permission to suspend concessions and related obligations for an annual amount of $2.4 billion,” the document said.

According to Free News, the US could face sanctions from China if it does not lift tariffs on solar panels, wind turbine towers, steel cylinders, and aluminum profiles. The dispute began under the Obama administration. The next meeting of the WTO dispute resolution Body, which will consider the issue, will be held on October 28.
