China has not yet accepted US assistance in the fight against coronavirus

The President’s national security adviser stressed that the US is still ready to cooperate with China.

China is showing more transparency on the coronavirus issue than it has in crises in the past, but Beijing has not yet accepted a US offer to help fight the epidemic, national security adviser Robert O’Brien said.

“So far, the Chinese side has undoubtedly shown greater transparency than in crises in the past, and we are grateful for that,” O’Brien said in an interview with CBS.

He explained that the United States has offered to send American doctors and other healthcare professionals to China. “So far, we have not heard anything in response from the Chinese side about these proposals, but we are ready to continue cooperation,” the national security adviser added.
