China has imposed sanctions against the US in response to the support of protesters in Hong Kong, reports Free News with reference to the statement of the foreign Ministry of the country.
In particular, the PRC suspends the consideration of requests for visits to Hong Kong by American warships and aircraft. Also, the non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch headquartered in the United States imposed sanctions because of support for protests in Hong Kong.
In November, US President Donald Trump signed two laws in support of protesters in Hong Kong. One imposes sanctions for human rights violations in Hong Kong; the other prohibits the supply of certain police equipment to Hong Kong.
