China has approved human trials of two vaccines against coronavirus

China has approved an early-stage human trial of two experimental vaccines to fight a new coronavirus that has killed more than 100,000 people worldwide. This was reported by the state news agency “Xinhua.”

The vaccines are developed by the Beijing branch of Sinovac Biotech and the Wuhan Institute of biologics, a branch of the state-owned China national pharmaceutical group.

In March, China allowed testing of another possible vaccine developed by Casino Bio, which is backed by the Chinese Academy of military medical Sciences. This happened shortly after the American pharmaceutical company Moderna announced that it had started clinical trials of the developed vaccine together with the US National Institutes of health.
