China has announced plans to impose sanctions on three US companies

The decision was made because of the supply of weapons to Taiwan, said in Beijing.

Beijing will impose sanctions on American companies for supplying weapons to Taiwan. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at a regular briefing on Monday that Lockheed Martin, Boeing Defense, and Raytheon are among the firms that fall under the restrictions.

“To protect our international interests, we have decided to take appropriate steps. We will impose sanctions on US companies that have played a significant role in this process, “he said.” among the aforementioned companies are Lockheed Martin, Boeing Defense, and Raytheon.”

“The supply of American weapons to Taiwan seriously undermines the one-China principle, violates the sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China, and is repugnant to our security interests. We strongly protest in this regard and condemn such actions,” the diplomat added.

“China calls on the United States to follow the one-China policy and the provisions of the three joint Chinese-American communique, stop arms supplies to Taiwan, and cut off military contacts with it. We will continue to take the necessary measures to protect national sovereignty and its interests in the security sphere,” – said the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

On 22 October, the US State Department has approved the possible supply of Chinese weapons to Taiwan worth about $1.8 billion. According to an earlier report by the US Agency for defense cooperation and security, we are talking about SLAM-ER air-launched cruise missiles, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, and MS-110 reconnaissance sensors aircraft.
