Chess players Caruana and Dominguez lead in rapid at the Grand Chess Tour stage

American chess players Fabiano Caruana and Lenier Dominguez are rapidly leading at the Grand Chess Tour stage in St. Louis after the first game day.

Caruana and Dominguez scored 2.5 points each. Russian Peter Svidler, who drew with Caruana and lost to Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan) and Hikaru Nakamura (USA), is 8th with 0.5 points.

The position after three rounds: Dominguez, Caruana-2.5 points each, Nakamura, Wesley So (USA) – 2, Mamedyarov, Le Quang Liem (Vietnam), Richard Rapport (Hungary) – 1.5, Svidler, Jeffery Xiong (USA), Sam Shankland (USA) – 0.5.
