Catherine Deneuve’s Grandson to be suspected for links with the Italian Mafia

32-year-old Igor Vadim, the grandson of Catherine Deneuve and her first civil husband, director Roger Vadim, was arrested in France on suspicion of having ties to the Italian mafia and involvement in counterfeiting money.

Vadim was among the 44 people detained throughout Europe as part of the Europol ‘Nero’ special operation aimed at suppressing the activities of Camorra, a Neapolitan criminal structure. Traditionally, the main sphere of the clan’s activity is drugs. But now they are engaged in the production and distribution of counterfeit bills of 50 euros.

Igor is now in custody. What is the role of Vadim in the criminal organization is still unknown, but he is facing extradition to Italy, where the trial will take place.
