Casio unveils first G-SHOCK smartwatch with Wear OS

Casio has announced today its first smartwatch under the G-SHOCK brand. They were named G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000.

Like this series’s usual models, the novelty has received a brutal appearance and a shock-resistant case made of plastic, titanium, and polyurethane. Naturally, the watch is not afraid of water. Thanks to the 20 ATM certification, they can be submerged to a depth of 200 meters.

G-SHOCK G-SQUAD PRO is equipped with a 1.32 “round LCD display with 360 × 300p resolution and mineral glass. Touch screen. It works in two modes: color and monochrome. In the first mode, the watch can work for 1.5-2 days, and in the second – up to one month.

The watch comes with the Wear OS operating system, the Google Play store, and the Google Assistant voice assistant. The device supports about 40 sports modes. Also, the gadget has a GPS, heart rate monitor, altimeter, barometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, thermometer, and even a sensor for measuring oxygen consumption. The watch weighs 103 grams.

The G-SHOCK G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000 will go on sale on May 15th. First, they will appear in Japan, and then in Europe and the United States.
