Capitol police arrested a man while trying to enter a closed area

Marc Beauchamp’s car was found at the memorial in honor of Abraham Lincoln, where parking is prohibited.

The Capitol police, responsible for the security of the US Congress complex, detained a 22-year-old man while trying to enter the fenced territory. This was reported on Monday on the page of law enforcement agencies on Twitter.

“The man was detained today. The suspect, 22-year-old Marc Beauchamp from Virginia, was immediately stopped by several police officers and detained for illegal entry,” the report said.

It is noted that the man’s car was found at the memorial in honor of Abraham Lincoln, where parking is prohibited. The incident is under investigation.
