California came out on top for the number of COVID-19 cases in the United States

California came out on top in the United States in the number of cases of coronavirus infection, according to data from the local newspaper Los Angeles Times.

According to the newspaper, on Tuesday, the number of detected cases of COVID-19 infection in the state exceeded 409,000. Thus, California surpassed New York in this indicator and came out on top in the country.

In New York, according to the latest data from the Ministry of health, 407,326 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded. In turn, the Los Angeles Times estimated that 408,181 cases of COVID-19 were registered in New York.

In the US, there are already more than 3.9 million confirmed cases of coronavirus, and more than 142 thousand victims.
