Brooklyn Nets lose Second Player in a day due to Coronavirus infection

Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie fell ill as a result of coronavirus infection, and now his status for restarting the league in Orlando is unclear, HoopsRumours reports citing Shams Charania, a journalist for The Athletic, on Twitter.

Dinwiddie was training in New York when he developed symptoms. Spencer said that in recent months he has “diligently” protected himself against the virus. He flew privately to New York and received negative results on coronavirus several times after arrival.

“Initially, we were supposed to be one of the very first teams to find ourselves in Orlando, but the training camps again moved to New York. Given that I had symptoms, including fever and chest tightness, it’s not clear if I can take part in the renewed NBA season, ”Spencer says.

Dinwiddie plans to remain in quarantine and retest after 14 days, Charania adds.

Superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will not play due to injuries. Nicolas Claxton was also injured, and Wilson Chandler decided not to take part in the season for family reasons.
