The UK will introduce mandatory 14-day quarantine for all arrivals from abroad, said the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson.
Britain is currently quarantined within the country, but the borders are not closed. Arrivals are not yet required to be isolated after arrival in the country to monitor the appearance of symptoms of the coronavirus.
“To prevent re-infection from abroad soon – when the spread of the virus significantly decreases – a mandatory quarantine will be introduced for those who arrive in our country. Of course, we will continue to monitor the situation at all levels,” Johnson said, addressing the nation.
