Boxer Wilder defended the title of world champion

American boxer Deontay Wilder defended the title of world heavyweight champion according to the World Boxing Council (WBC).

In a duel held in New York, Wilder beat compatriot Dominic Breazeale knockout in the first round. American in ninth time has protected a title of the champion of the world.

33-year-old Wilder remains undefeated in the professional ring. He won 41 victories, 40 of them by knockout. One of his fights ended in a draw: in December 2018, the American failed to defeat the British Tyson Fury.

Asset 33-year-old Breazeale now two defeats in 20 victories (18 by knockout). It was the second time he tried to win the title of world champion. In June 2016, the American lost to Briton Anthony Joshua in the fight for the belt of the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
