Bolton hopes his book “won’t be blocked”

According to the New York Times, the book says that Trump wanted to block aid to Ukraine until Kyiv agrees to investigate Biden’s activities.

Former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, John Bolton, has expressed concern that the White House is allegedly trying to “block” the publication of his book.

In addition, Bolton said that he should be able to respond to the President’s tweets about him.

“I hope that eventually, I will be able to publish a book. I hope it won’t be blocked,” Bolton said, speaking at an event at Duke University in North Carolina.

This was his first public appearance since Trump’s acquittal following the impeachment proceedings in the Senate.

Commenting on the President’s criticism of him on Twitter, Bolton said: “Trump is posting tweets, but I can’t talk about it. How fair is this?”

Bolton, 71, left office in September after a disagreement with the President. Trump said he fired him. Bolton said he quit on his own.

The New York Times reported that the manuscript of the book says that Trump wanted to continue to block military aid intended for Ukraine in the amount of 391 million dollars until the Ukrainian authorities will not assist in the investigations against trump’s rival, Democrat Joe Biden. Such statements were the basis for articles of impeachment of Trump.
