Black rock: in the first half of 2020, the world economy may shrink by 11%

According to conservative estimates, the world could lose 5 million jobs over this period.

Amer Bisat, managing Director of the international investment company Blackrock, said on Wednesday that due to the coronavirus pandemic in the first half of 2020, the volume of the world economy could shrink by 11 percent, and the productivity of the economy will decrease by 6 trillion dollars.

According to conservative estimates, 5 million jobs may be lost during this period, and with underemployment and reduced wages, the situation may be even worse, Bisat said during a virtual discussion forum organized by the Carnegie Middle East center.
