The early years of the MCU were characterized by very mediocre villains who, in fact, did not pose a serious threat to the main characters. But these days are in the past, and the power of the antagonists has grown exponentially lately.
Thanos showed that now the characters will have to fight the evil much harder because it would be strange to lower the bar now that fans saw how half of the universe disappears literally at the click. And the cunning Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), with his illusions, ruined the life of Spider-Man for a long time. And although these villains turned out to be very impressive, many still call Killmonger, played by Michael B. Jordan, the best antagonist of the MCU. As is usual with the greatest bad guys, he was firmly convinced that his actions were the only right ones, and in general, the character turned out to be very strong. Of course, fans were offended that Jordan’s acting talent found a place in only one studio film, but, according to We Got This Covered, it is quite possible that Killmonger will soon return to the audience.
According to rumors, Marvel Studios plans to give the villain the attention it deserves, and while on the sidelines the idea of a prequel is being discussed, which will show Eric Stevens’s path from grieving young man to the hardened killer. At the moment, the studio is supposedly planning a full-length film, but given the latest trends in the MCU, the idea could easily transform into a show for Disney+.
However, the more Killmonger fans get, the better. It remains only to wait for the official news from Marvel, which is in no hurry to talk about the future of the Black Panther franchise. This is due to the fact that Chadwick Boseman, who played the main character of the original tape, recently passed away.
