Earlier, the US refused to send equipment to Iran to decrypt data recorders due to sanctions.

Canadian Foreign Minister Francois-Philippe champagne said the flight recorders of a Ukrainian passenger plane shot down by an Iranian missile are in Paris and are expected to be delivered to the French Bureau of civil aviation security investigation and analysis on Monday.

Champagne said on Twitter that the investigation would be conducted in the presence of employees of the Canadian transportation safety board.

Most of the 176 passengers on Board were Canadian citizens or residents or were traveling to Canada.
