American singer Billie Eilish won a Grammy award in the category “Best Song Written for Visual Media” for No time to die, which became the soundtrack to the latest film about the legendary British intelligence agent James Bond, according to the organization’s official website.
Eilish reportedly shared the win with her brother and music partner Finneas O’Connell.
The song No time to die was written for the same name’s film about James Bond’s super-spy. The final Bond movie is slated to hit the big screens in October 2021 after numerous delays due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Eilish and O’Connell were able to beat such nominees as Taylor Swift, nominated for the track to the musical “Cats”, British singer Cynthia Erivo with the song for the film “Harriet”, composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and others.
The next Grammy Awards ceremony, established by the US Academy of Recordings, will occur on Sunday evening. It will announce the winners in most nominations, but the winners are announced throughout the day for some of them.
