Biden supported the launch of Trump’s impeachment proceedings

NEW YORK – Former US Vice President Joseph Biden has backed the launch of impeachment proceedings against United States President Donald Trump. Biden, who is considered the most likely rival of Trump in the upcoming presidential elections in November 2020, made a statement on Wednesday in Rochester (New Hampshire).

“Donald Trump has violated his oath, betrayed the nation and has committed acts resulting in an impeachment. You know what I mean-the preservation of the Constitution, our democracy. Our core value,” Biden pointed out. “He [Trump] should be impeached.”

CNN stresses that Biden spoke publicly for the first time in support of the impeachment procedure of the current American leader since its launch. “At the expense of his words and actions, President Trump himself brought charges of obstruction of justice, refusing to comply with the requirements of Congress. He has already passed his sentence in front of the world and the American people,” Biden said.

Trump, in turn, said on Twitter that he did not do anything reprehensible and considers Biden’s remarks pathetic. “Joe [Biden’s] failed campaign left him no choice,” Trump pointed out.
