Biden spoke out about the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan

During his address to the nation, U.S. President Joe Biden said that the refusal to withdraw American troops could lead to a new round of escalation of the conflict in Afghanistan.

“The harsh reality was either to withdraw our troops in accordance with the agreement (reached by the Trump administration with the Taliban) or to risk an escalation of the conflict and sending thousands of additional U.S. military forces to the war in Afghanistan,” the American leader said.

He stressed that since May 1, the day of the beginning of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan; there have been no guarantees of a ceasefire or an agreement on the protection of the US military. The President of the country noted that the most important thing was that there were no guarantees about preventing the death of Americans.
